The TEAM: Reconstructing - Upcoming Performances and Overview
The TEAM, a prominent Brooklyn-based ensemble, is set to unveil its latest production, Reconstructing, with a rolling world premiere in early 2026. The show will first be showcased at the Under the Radar Festival in New York City from January 9-11, 2026. Following this, there will be a one-night performance at the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill on February 21, 2026, and two additional performances at the Hopkins Center for the Arts at Dartmouth College in early April.
Co-directed by Rachel Chavkin and Zhailon Levingston, Reconstructing is a collaborative effort involving 22 artists and explores themes of history and intimacy in the aftermath of slavery. The production features a unique set design that transforms a two-story house into various representations, including a post-flood scene and an Airbnb version of "Tara" from Gone with the Wind.
The cast includes notable performers such as Eric Berryman and Rachel Chavkin. The production boasts an impressive creative team responsible for scenic, costume, lighting, and sound design. Reconstructing promises to be a significant theatrical event as part of Dartmouth's celebration of America's 250th anniversary.
